We plan to develop the US-Japan Classrooms Exchange Program. We help the teachers who are interested in the program to find the teachers on the other side to work with. The goals of the program are to promote grassroots-level exchanges between the classrooms in the US and Japan; and to develop the mutural understanding among the students in the US and Japan. Class B7 (fourth-graders) of Hickman Elementary School, San Diego and Class 6-2 (sixth-graders) of Joken Elementary School, Marugame exchanged their Q&A about the US and Japan in February and March, 2006. Mrs. Nina Sutherland of Hickman Elementary School and Mr. Yusuke Yokoyama of Joken Elementary School joined our pilot case study.
